HERE WE ARE AGAIN…WESTMINSTER COUNCIL TAX ON GOD AND THE WEST END.
As if people of the UK and business small and medium are not already under the yoke and pressures of the theft that has been jointly perpetrated by the Government and the bank’s. These very same institutions smugly patting themselves on the back for prosecuting benefit cheats; which in terms of money and savings to the state is less then they spend on there expense issued credit cards, and not a single prosecution of these porcine swilling champagne charlies stealing our very lives… NOW WE HAVE WESTMINSTER COUNCIL WANTING TO STEAL YET MORE OF OUR MONEY… TAXING OUR NIGHT LIFE. The question begs why. Could it be to do with the up-coming redundancies and pay off’s that Westminster has to offload? where the ROI on this tax is remarkably similar to the funds needed to fill this gaping gash, but how are they going to be able to pay this when the is no money in the council pot could it be that some dullard of a PR Councillor came up with a way to fix this hole? I so hope not. From my limited understanding monies from Parking can only be used for :2.1 Most of central London, together with Outer London town centres are now covered by Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs).
2.2 Parking spaces in CPZs are controlled by the use of Resident’s Permits, Business Permits and Parking Charges all of which generate income for the Council. The Traffic Management and Parking Guidance for London issued by the Government Office for London in 1998 stated that the level of parking charges must be set for traffic management purposes. The primary purpose should be to ration available space and ensure there is a rapid turnover of parking spaces rather than to maximise revenue. The Guidance also states that permit charges should at a minimum cover the cost of operating and enforcing the permit system, but there is no reason to prevent a local authority rationing permits by price.
2.3 The rationale for the parking charging policy and the differential pricing policy is
included in Appendix 5.
2.4 The 1984 Road Traffic Regulation Act (section 55) limits how any surpluses generated from on-street parking activities can be spent. The Act states that any surplus must firstly be used to pay off any deficit from previous years after which surpluses can be used for :
(i) The provision and maintenance of off-street parking facilities,
(ii) The provision or operation of public passenger transport,
(iii) Highway or road improvements.
(iv) If surpluses are not applied at the end of the financial year the
funds can be carried forward to be applied to one of the above
purposes in the future.
This Act was slightly amended by the GLA Act 1999 it states that surpluses can now be used to facilitate the implementation of the London Transport Strategy’
YOU ARE BEING WATCHED WESTMINSTER AND ARE ALREADY IN THE HIGH COURTS FOR MANY CASES WASTING OUR MONIES. CITIZENS of the UK, AND RESIDENTS OF WESTMINSTER wake up and grow some balls…Fight for you rights…STOP THEM NOW… One answer maybe to put our council/business tax in a escrow account and go to the courts with statement of Intent stating that we will not release these funds until the council categorically states what it is going to do with this extra parking income. I wonder how long it would take before they u-turned? People we have the legal power if only we had the intent to use it…Where has our fighting nature gone? Well I suppose none of it really matters as Westminster will go ahead and we will just be sheep.
I do not know about you but current events are strangely echoing back to the period just before the to World Wars are we heading for hyper-inflation?…

Latest on Turmeric…2010
Curcumin, one of the principal components of the Indian spice turmeric, seems to delay the liver damage that eventually causes cirrhosis, suggests preliminary experimental research in the journal Gut.
Conclusions These results show that curcumin may have multiple targets in liver including activation of PPARγ in cholangiocytes and inhibition of ERK1/2 signalling in MFBs, thereby modulating several central cellular events in a mouse model of cholangiopathy. Targeting these pathways may be a promising therapeutic approach to cholangiopathies.

Popular curry spice is a brain booster
By now it is becoming clear that eating curry is not only enjoyable but is extremely good for you.
Call it yellow ginger, haldi, turmeric or E100, the yellow root of Curcuma longa, a staple ingredient in curry, is turning out to be gratifyingly healthy. Now Tze-Pin Ng and colleagues at the National University of Singapore have discovered that curry eating seems to boost brain power in elderly people.
“What is remarkable is that apparently one needs only to consume curry once in a while for the better cognitive performance to be evidenced,” says Ng, who says he wants to confirm the results, possibly in a controlled clinical trial comparing curcumin and a placebo.

WINE WITH TANDOORI SE
Enjoying wine with your curry is not the most natural idea, especially when the wines are of a superior quality. Gone are the days of Blue nun, Niersteiner, Mateus Rose and flat Carlsberg larger.
Today’s sophisticated palate for curry and wine has changed this idea for good, as can be seen by eating at any of the top Indian restaurants in Briton.
Here I will endeavour to explore some the wines chosen for Maharani Soho in relation to the gastronomic delights prepared by our head chef Samol Sen. Great care and attention has been taken to provide an exceptional and balanced selection of fine wines to accompany and compliment the unique blend of herbs and spices that make Maharani Soho’s fare as popular as it is today. Please do not forget to use our simple online booking system when reserving your table.
For the Chicken Tandoori SE dishes I would suggest the Cherien Blank, Kanu, Stellenbosch, South Africa 2008 £17.90 This crisp, crowd-pleasing white displays fresh peach, melon, citrus, and tropical fruit flavours, with hints of almond and delicate floral and spice notes. An all-round and uplifting alternative to boring Pinot Grigio, it works wonders with grilled vegetables, salads, pan-seared fish, chicken dishes. This is also an excellent choice for the Chat Ki Jinga, succulent king prawns and Machil Tikka, chunks of mouth watering monk fish, as this wine blends with the medium spices and leaves the palate and clean. I also recommend for the mixed Platter Verdelho, Chaple Hill, McLaren Vale, Australia 2007 £24.50 due to its extraordinary array of flavours; kaffir lime with passion fruit and lemongrass, yet it is all bound up beautifully and has marked elegance that catches the subtle of this mildly spiced dish. For the lamb Shashlk, Tender lamb cutlets medium spiced I suggest Fleurie Clos des Quatre Vents, Duboeuf, Beaujolais, France 2007 £29.50 With its elegant floral aromas of violets and irises with luscious plump mouthfuls of fresh red berries and fruits. Fully complements the lamb and spices used in this medium spiced dish.
